VirtualGPS 1.54 - is a free, small utility, which fully emulates GPS receiver and returns your location (by using cellular towers and/or wi-fi hotspots). Location accuracy is about 50-500m.


How To Use
  1. Run VirtualGPS, wait about 1 minute until GPS: On (or Off in case of no reception) is shown.
  2. Run navigation software. In the settings put GPS on COMx (Port is displayed on the main screen).

1In order to use Wi-Fi triangulation, Wi-Fi adapter must be turned on (it's not necessary to be connected).
2Sync feature prevents the expensive mobile internet from being used. Try to run VirtualGPS one time per 3 months when your PDA is connected to the PC via ActiveSync, thus the cache file with coordinates will be always up to date. Keep in mind that VirtualGPS accumulates data even when the internet is not accesible, this incomplete data will be updated during the next sync. Sync can take up to few hours.
3Several programs can use GPS through intermediate driver simultaneously and there is no need to set up any ports. Some latest navigation programs can work only with intermediate driver. Available since Windows Mobile 5.
